NBFA Roots Project – Truck Handover Ceremony Statement

Today marks a proud milestone for the North Bank Farmers Association (NBFA) and the communities we serve. With deep gratitude, we officially receive and launch our new refrigerated truck, a gift made possible through the visionary support of the Roots Project.

This vehicle is more than transport — it is a symbol of progress, partnership, and purpose. It will help us deliver fresh fruits, vegetables, and essential goods across The Gambia, connecting farmers to markets and communities to opportunity.

Driving Development with NBFA’s Refrigerated Truck

“From Harvest to Hope — A New Era Begins”

The arrival of NBFA’s refrigerated truck marks a turning point in rural development, agricultural empowerment, and national progress. This is more than transport — it’s infrastructure for dignity, growth, and opportunity.

What This Truck Brings to The Gambia:

  • Food Security: By preserving freshness, we reduce waste and extend shelf life — ensuring more families access nutritious produce.
  • Market Access: Farmers from remote villages can now reach urban markets with confidence, boosting income and reducing inequality.
  • Economic Growth: Reliable logistics attract buyers, strengthen supply chains, and open doors for agribusiness partnerships.
  • Youth Empowerment: New jobs in transport, logistics, and sales — inspiring young Gambians to see agriculture as a career, not a struggle.
  • Community Pride: Every delivery is a statement: our farmers matter, our produce is valuable, and our systems are rising.

 A Message from NBFA:

“This truck is not just ours — it belongs to every farmer, every village, and every dream of a better tomorrow. We thank the Roots Project and all partners who believe in our journey.”

Let the world know: NBFA is moving forward — and we’re taking The Gambia with us.

The best team
